my.cnf Per Server Settings
My.cnf settings can be configured on a per server basis for both MySQL and MariaDB.
Before applying any settings, LxRoot will check that the mysql server accepts the settings without generating an error. For settings to apply a MySQL restart will be required.
To configure my.cnf settings on a per server basis:
- Open Servers in the left side bar
- Locate the server you would like to edit
- Select Manage in the drop down
- Scroll to Roles
- Select the Database tab and click my.cnf
- Click Save to finish
Common settings to change here might include:
- sql_mode
- key_buffer_size
- sort_buffer_size
- innodb_buffer_pool_size
- max_allowed_packet
This is not an exhaustive list and you should research and test any changes prior to making them in a production environment.
