Overview

The DNS role provides DNS (PowerDNS) for all the domains on your LxRoot cluster.

Unlike other roles, websites are not mapped to a specific DNS role instance. Instead all DNS role instances serve all zones on the platform. If a DNS role is added to an existing cluster it will automatically pick up all existing domains

It is possible to run an LxRoot cluster without installing the DNS role.
