Overview

The Application role provides the following services:

• HTTP Apache 2.4 , LiteSpeed, OpenLiteSpeed or Nginx
• PHP FPM or LSPHP (one per website, where the website has PHP enabled)
• Screenshotd (internal LxRoot service responsible for maintaining a screenshot of website added to the platform)
• FTP (pure-ftpd)
• Filerd (internal LxRoot service which powers the web based file manager)

When installing the application role When installing the application role you will be able to select your webserver kind (Apache, LiteSpeed, OpenLiteSpeed or Nginx). A different webserver kind can be selected for each of the application roles installed on your LxRoot cluster. You can also switch the webserver kind a server is running at any point without any configuration changes.
