Email Logs

All email logs are stored persistently and can be accessed from the host system without entering a container. The following log file locations may be useful for diagnosing issues.

Data file location

/var/local/LxRoot/email when viewed from the host o/s.

Email logs

LxRoot stores email logs in var/local/LxRoot/email/data/logs/

Postfix (MTA)

Postfix logs are in /var/local/LxRoot/email/data/logs/postfix/postfix.log

These are rotated daily and gzipped, so older logs will be of the format postfix.log.yyyymmdd-hhmm.gz

POP/IMAP (Dovecot)

Dovecot logs are in: /var/local/LxRoot/email/data/logs/dovecot/dovecot.log

These are rotated daily and gzipped, so older logs are in the format dovecot_[unixtimestamp].tar.gz

Spam filter (rspamd)

Spam filter logs are in: /var/local/LxRoot/email/data/logs/rspamd/rspamd.log
